In 2014 he also founded the Bend Bike Swap, a 100% volunteer run event that raises about $10,000 annually to support local nonprofits that promote different aspects of youth cycling.

Ryan and his wife Alanna enjoy spending time with their two young children, Wyatt (4 years) and Grace (2.5 years) you can find them out mountain biking, road cycling, trail running and during the winter skate and backcountry skiing.
